For the 2013 season, the Team Pai Motorsport with which I won the Italian Touring Car Endurance Championship in 2009, proposed me to race with a Prototype in the Italian Prototype Championship in the CN4 Class with a Lucchini P2 07 with a BMW 3000 engine.
The workshop premises were all excellent and compelling, and thanks to a sponsor, the Forma 4 company that promotes Art and some emerging artists, I had decided to accept and enjoy the new season.
The first race took place in Franciacorta (BS), a very tight circuit not ideal for our car which goes better on faster tracks, and in any case from the first free practice we experienced the first failures. Apart from mechanical problems, we had problems related to the car handling that remained unresolved.
During the race, after a few laps the car had another problem and stopped running so I decided not to continue the season in this Championship.
At the end of the year Baroncini and I were invited by a mutual friend Paolo Urzì to race the 4 Hours of Franciacorta, an Endurance Touring Car race organized by Seat Motorsport Italia.
After having dominated the entire race with my initial stint and the pit stop with the initial driver change, a spin by Urzì and his consequent error in the strategy, made us losing the accumulated advantage and saw us in third place at the finish line.
